ELLAN in conferences in Austria

17 – 19. 09. 2014 the biannual conference “Health Literacy - Basic competence of/in the so-called health or knowledge Society” of the german-speaking countries Germany, Austria, Switzerland took place in Villach – organized by the department Health Care,CUAS and the three national scientific societies of medicine/health/care sociology. Our poster presentation gave the opportunity to discuss the relevance of core competencies on the backdrop of enhancing literacy challenges for health professionels as well as for the users of the health + care system. 18 – 20. 09. 2014 the  2014 Mid-term Conference of the Research Network Ageing in Europe (RN1) of the European Sociological Association (ESA): “Aging, Anti Aging & Ageism Constructions and Politics” took place in Klagenfurt, Carinthia with 100 participants of e nations. The conference gave the perfect background to disseminate new age-related projects, research findings and care strategies. It opened the scope for fruitfull discussions and innovative ideas on Aging-policies. Our lecture showed the purpose, objectives and tasks of the ELLAN Project as well as first findings about the older views on aging processes.

The 8th ICN INP/APNN Conference


The 8th ICN INP/APNN Conference was hosted by the Finnish Nurses Association and took place in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland, 18-20 August 2014. There were about 750 participants from all over the world. ELLAN project was presented through two posters in the conference.
